In the first three lectures, I started to learn the real social network. Before attending the lectures, my social network is updating my status and check my friends status on Facebook. This is all what I know about social network. This course introduced some ideas like social media and social networking. You will find that the internet is full of social media and social networking. More and more web site made use of social media and social networking with different cognitive and social theory. I started to think about why and how social network become more popular in the internet, even in our life. Next time when I am suffering the internet, I will think more about how social network integrate with the different web site.

It also examines social interactions in different channels such as email, instant messaging, enterprise databases, etc. that embody shared or social activities among a known set of users who have given their permission. I think this topic is very important in social network. It helps people to extend their social network. The corporation can use some social network tools to visualize their current network of contacts and see how they can extend that network to tap into valuable resources and trusted experts across an entire organization. Normal users can also extend their network by mapping their relationship with different people. One day, different network will be linked together. I think relationship mapping is very important for the development of social network. Once a social network is created, the social network will grow by itself. Relationship mapping is very easy to connect different people together and extend the social network.
